My name is Tracy Vallett and I am running for SWIC Board of Trustees Sub-District 1. I deeply value education and understand how crucial it is for our students to have access to quality programs: both academics and trades. When our daughter Adrienne returned from Army Advanced Individual Training (AIT), she hoped to take a couple of general studies classes at SWIC's Red Bud Campus while waiting to start the Pre-Veterinarian program at SIU-C. Unfortunately, the classes she needed were not available, and this experience made me realize that the Red Bud Campus has been underutilized for a few years. However, I am excited to change that. I am fully committed to building strong relationships with local businesses and schools to add more programs that benefit our students and community. Instead of just talking about getting things done, I am actively making calls and attending meetings to ensure that positive changes are made. The Red Bud Campus has great potential and needs someone who is willing to turn that into great progress!
